Breakfast

Your Safari Ranger will cook your breakfast in the open, either at a picnic site during the course of your morning game viewing drive or back at camp after the game viewing dive. Our breakfasts are usually elaborate affairs - cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juice, eggs, bacon, toast, fried tomatoes and tea & coffee.

Lunch

As our breakfasts are more like brunch we do not provide lunch in Kruger Park. Depending on how successful the game viewing is we always try to arrive at camp for lunchtime. Most people simply buy a toasted sandwich or a small salad for lunch at the camps self-service cafeteria.

After lunch you may wish to stay at camp and siesta or continue with some more game viewing throughout the afternoon, returning back to camp before the camp gates close for the night.

Dinner

Traditional South African meals are prepared by your Safari Ranger giving you a taste of our countries delicious 'barbeque' cuisine. Dinners are always cooked outside under the stars in front of your chalet or guesthouse and served on a fully laid table.

Sabi Sands

Each day in the Sabi Sands the meals are served in the central thatched Lappa, buffet style with tea and coffee being available throughout the day.

Wake up

Coffee and biscuits are served just before each morning game drive.

Breakfast

A much-needed South African breakfast is served on your return from the morning game drive at approximately 10.00hrs. This could include (it differs from day to day) eggs of different types, bacon, mushrooms, onion, tomato, sausages, potatoes and fritters. Fruit, yoghurt, muesli and muffins are also available for the more health conscious.

Lunch

At approximately 14.30hrs a light two-course lunch is served each day and consists of a surprise hot dish, cold meats, salads and a dessert. At 16.00hrs late afternoon tea and coffee is served.

Sundowners

Light snacks with alcoholic and soft drinks are served on each game drive at sunset time. This drinking time is referred to as 'sundowners'.

Dinner

A exceedingly delicious three-course dinner awaits you on your return from your night drive at approximately 20.00hrs. There is sometimes one venison dish on the menu along with chicken, beef, pork or lamb. Plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit too.

Note

A complimentary bottle of South African wine is included with each Kruger Park dinner.

If you did wish to eat out at a restaurant in Kruger Park you would of course be more than welcome to do so. The cost however will be for your account - R90.00/person.

We cater for all special meal requirements for vegetarians and diabetics.

Each camp in Kruger Park has a shop stocked full of all sorts of items to eat and drink. You will be able to visit the camps shop during the day to keep yourself supplied with more drinks or with alcoholic drinks and with snack foods, fruit etc. An ice box is kept in the game viewing vehicle for everyone to use.

The lodge in Sabi Sands has a bar which is open 24/7, if so required.
