Birding Safari - March 07
Dear
Robert
My husband and I are now back from SA. The journey down to Cape
Town went well and we had nowhere any troubles.
We enjoyed SA a lot and we had a really good time.
The time we spent together with Martin on the Birding Safari was
just great. We were impressed by his knowledge, his ability to
hear, find and show us the birds and his enthusiasm. (His
cooking wasn't bad either.) We really had a good time and we
enjoyed this birding safari. We don't hesitate to recommend this
trip to any eager birder.
We
only regretted that we couldn't prepare ourselves a little
better for this trip. But the book we ordered from our bookshop
(after waiting almost 2 months) arrived only
2 weeks before we left and of course we didn't have a idea about
he voices of the birds.
Although we knew some birds from Kenya/Tanzania most were new to
us.
We
know, that without the help of au professional we would have
missed a lot of (rare) birds like the Taita-Falcon, the Bat hawk
and other (endemic) species we found in the north of Kruger NP.
Also the Ground Hornbill was a very special sighting and so many
other birds.
All together we found 306 different bird species in the birding
week. (With other 206 in the remaining 3 weeks, including lots
of water birds seen in the West Coast NP.)
It's good to have satisfied guests, isn't it? So maybe, there
will be another trip town to South Africa one day. We think,
that we would contact you again.

Bird Watching Safari - 7th November 05
Hi,
Just got home today had a 24
hour delay at Jo'burg so not feeling to great at the moment
so will keep this short.
Just want to say thank you for
such a wonderful trip, my 5 day tour was out standing and
went far beyond what I had hoped for. Robert was so helpful
and found so many birds for me, if I head out to South
Africa again I will have no hesitation in booking with you
again.
Thanks again and if I have any
good birds photos I will forward them to you, have not seen
them yet.

Bird Watching Safari - 29th September 05
Thanks.
Yes, it all went off really
well. Three days of full-on birding, which I imagine Robert
himself also appreciated. That opportunity to ignore the
lion and wait for something small and brown to flit out of
the bottom of a thorn bush.
Robert was great company
(we were just the two of us), interesting to talk to (and
nicely opinionated...), and 100% sound on his birds.
Accommodation, food, etc. all pretty much as expected.
The Satara night drive was
a bit of a circus outing, but that wasn't your fault. On
balance I found the KNP fairly seriously under-wardened (it
was a weekend and school
holidays).
But I had a fabulous time,
